Yesterday I spent the afternoon, doing a shoot with a great team. The model, Kelsey had a gorgeous head of hair for me to work with which I love. The theme was romantic, and we accessorized with fresh flowers, so I got to put my floristry skills to work (note; I don't have florist skills!) We did 5 different looks, so the key to making this work, was all in the prep. What I mean by this is making sure the products I used complimented and worked with each other, and didn't react in a way that made the hair difficult to work with/greasy. This is a step many hairstylists neglect, and it's possibly the most crucial to having a style last all night/ be versatile to change. I only use Redken Products, and I like to add some texture to the hair to start to get a little 'grit' and then ALWAYS use a heat protector with a curling iron and a working spray throughout the changes. Never a laquer unless that's the final look and it needs to stay put! for some more pics go to my facebook page ; Katie Webster Hair, and look in the behind the scenes album. Hold tight for the final images.
